Cloisonné lapel pins have a jewelry-like finish
with colors derived from mineral ores. Each pin is hand-polished
making the enamel surface hard, smooth and resistant to scratching.
The high quality of true cloisonné is a perfect choice for awards,
product recognition, coins and badges.
|
| |
Soft Cloisonné is an excellent substitute for the
original process allowing a wider selection of colors and a lower
cost per piece. As with original cloisonné, the colors are
clearly separated by fine metal lines distinguishing the bold colors
and details of designs. |
|
Soft Enamel is the most popular type of custom
made lapel pins because it offers brilliant colors and fine metal
detailing. This type of pin is an outstanding product at a very
affordable price. An optional epoxy dome is recommened to protect
the colors and give a smooth top finish.

Iron
Soft Enamel is often used for promotional giveaways because
this process is the least expensive in the "die-struck"
category where bronze & nickel are used in place of gold &
silver.

Die Struck Non-Enamel is a process where images
are created by using three dimensional relief designs; the mixing
of gloss, matte and antique finishes; or by using two-tone metal
plating such as gold and silver. The 3-D detailing and high-quality
finishing give these products high value without high cost.

Photo Etching is much like film camera photo processing.
The art designs are etched into a base metal (bronze, stainless
or aluminum), filled with enamel colors and then cut to match your
custom design. This process works well when no thin or sharp outer
edge detail is needed.

|
Printed Processing is where silkscreen or offset
printing is used on intricate designs requiring precise color-on-color
detailing, full-color reproduction, high detailing and accuracy.
Once the design has been printed onto a metal base, the pins are
then trimmed and a clear epoxy dome is added to protect the printing.
This process is the least expensive making it an excellent choice
for trading pins or large quantity promotions.

3-D Cast Products: |
Cast Metal is perfect for 3-D designs. This works
very well in producing 3-D miniatures. Your custom cast pin/miniature
can have either a polished or matte finish.
|
Zinc Alloy has a slight advantage over other cast
metals. Since it is harder, zinc alloy typically forms sharper images
and offers excellent results when producing 3-D products.
